Fabio Corniani highlights in his research the Rap group Racionais MC's, which synthesizes the message of other groups, culminating in a portrayal of the harsh reality of marginalized communities. The author had the sensitivity not only to rely on lyrics but also to visit the peripheral neighborhoods of São Paulo, accompanied by residents, to experience firsthand the reality and the content of the songs.
