The Pamphlet as a Folkcommunicational Medium of Blackness
A collection of ten academic articles that analyze the content of cordel literature pamphlets addressing ten different themes related to Blackness, understood here as both an identity process and a social movement.
Among the themes are slavery, abolition, and racism; Black princesses and queens, Black warriors and Black heroes; five years since the assassination of Marielle Franco, ten years since the imprisonment of Rafael Braga, 20 years of Law No. 10,639/03, and 30 years since Nelson Mandela received the Nobel Peace Prize.
In each article, the author discusses the central theme of the analyzed sample based on authors from decolonial thought. The work is the result of research in Folkcommunication developed by the author on the political pamphlet in cordel literature as an alternative, popular, and counter-hegemonic informative medium.
