To bring together a set of basic references on Folkcommunication, presenting in a simple and didactic manner the main theoretical landmarks originally developed by Luiz Beltrão in the 1960s. This is the purpose of this book, which seeks to offer an overview of the main concepts, objects, and debates surrounding this field of Communication research, through 35 entries written by researchers from different regions of the country.
