Dialogues between Chile and Brazil
*Folkcommunication in Latin America: Dialogues between Chile and Brazil* constitutes the materialization of an academic effort whose horizon is to think about local communication processes from a situated and contextual perspective, without thereby renouncing the critical and committed thought that emerges from other latitudes and situations.
However, economic and cultural transformations, with their consequent geopolitical effects in Latin America, impose on us a vital need to revisit approaches that propose an openness to social phenomena and cultural manifestations, reclaiming the political dimension — often resistant and dynamic — faced today by various social segments historically subordinated by dominant social structures.
